RMweb Gold TheSignalEngineer Posted July 4, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 4, 2015 I did a quick guesstimate, the mags ditched hadn't been looked at in probably 10 years......at least. It is what it is, a load of old paper. The original intention was to scan stuff, but if I started now, I would still be scanning in 10 years time! I scanned some of my work library before I passed it on to other people in the office. It's probably been looked at twice in 10 years. The library took up a 6ft x 3ft cupboard, of which I kept one archive box. Later when we moved house I took six large boxes of assorted magazines and papers to the tip. We got rid of so many old books and such a load of clothes and bric-a-brac that the local charity shop started opening on Sundays to try to shift the stock. RANGERS
I have to confess to taking a fairly ruthless approach to my book collection a few years ago, clearing out anything which wasn't in my sphere of interest and even managed to clear a sizeable chunk of the mags. Result - a sizeable space in the bookcase, ultimate result - room to buy more books which have now swallowed up said space!
