0820PerranporthPaddington
The GWR had many different roof designs, but the most common was an overall roof, which covered both station building and canopy, with ironwork supporting the roof and glazing, with the building having a flat roof beneath. I had already made the framework out of 200GSM cream card, cut out with supporting strips for strength Below are a couple of photos showing the frame, prior to fitting the roof sections This is the finished roof with glazing, which I did by cutting out the panels and laminating one side only I have fitted this temporarily to an old model, part built of st Agnes station, in Cornwall. It is one I never used, so acts as a template. The Toddington Building is yet to be made
