ROD avonside 1742 and standard gauge military liveries

there are a couple of threads that cover some research that Andy York and myself have explored whilst starting a representative model of cannock chase military railway (takeroo) If I am honest we have done a lot more than the threads show.

a friend is going to build Avonside B3 0-6-0 1742 which was supplied new to the chase in 1916 and was named number 16. This coincided with Longmoor taking responsibility for the chase and a number of other military railways around the UK. Prior to that it had been a mixture of old ex colliery locomotives like MW K class...

The liveries of the WW1 narrow gauge locomotives operating in the continent is well understood but I can't find anything on standard gauge UK.

They bought at least one further B3 which is preserved and that is Woomer...

Does anyone know if there was a set livery for standard gauge military locos, logos, lining, numbering?

If no such livery existed, what was the Avonside default ex works colour.

Any help would be appreciated

Andy
