gazmanjack
A while ago I purchased the Hornby/Skaledale Cement Hopper. As a ready to plant model, it isn't too bad, but it could be improved with a few detail items. The detail items I have added is : 1. hopper ribbing (to form individual panels) 2. a top accessway/walkway 3. handrails (safety handrails around walkway) 4. new corrugated sides 5. an access hatch at the very top. Whether or not all this is seen on the prototype, it certainly brings the model up a notch or two in appearances. The original, out of the box model : ...and the new look model. This has been painted in grey undercoat and is not the final finish. The hatch and walkway area at the very top. Cheers, Gary.
