kernowtim
Was recently sent this link http://narrow-gauge.co.uk/gallery/150 To a line I didn't know existed, despite seeing the stuffed and mounted freudenstein 0-4-0t steam loco at Leighton buzzard, in a fetching ARC yellow, now repainted red. Must have a look around the area but as the line closed around 40 years ago don't suppose there is much left, did check Google maps with no luck!! Horizontal
Saw this line in the early 70s - 'Diesel loco and side tippers from the quarry to the harbour - Very simple AIR! :-)
steve W
Here's TW Lewis in about 1970. Penlee Quarry foreshore was a lovely place on a summer's day, but really evil in the midst of winter with the 'lake' whipped up by gales. I was last there a couple of years ago, not much to see these days I'm afraid. Regards Steve W
