RMweb Gold Andy7 Posted September 1, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 1, 2019 (edited) We use a Z21 black. A great system utilising the iPad, simple to use and intuitive. Edited September 1, 2019 by Andy7

Melyn
An impressive layout! Looks great. I'm curious about the origins of the name as Badger's Cross is the name of a little hamlet up the road from me.
RMweb Gold Andy7 Posted October 25, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 25, 2019 It’s the name of the road my brother used to live on. Since moved and this is a new layout but we liked the name hence the 2 part.
Simon Moore
What a super layout. I particularly like how you've made the overall roof on the station with the jig. Certainly food for though when I build something new. I will follow wit interest. Simon

Thesmudge
Another cracking video, this one shows off much more of the layup and behind the scenes than ever before.

RMweb Gold Andy7 Posted January 21, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 21, 2022 Resurrection time. Layout progress hasn’t really happened but we have changed the layout on the TMD side almost completely. Now we have a long branch line station, one platform (think Newquay), stone loading terminal, container yard and TMD with half the track down. Latest video is linked below: What I am going to do on here is to show off the loco fleet (firstly, then wagons and coaches). This is a fluid list that I will no doubt change but less change happens now I am more fixed with my lines of thinking. Let’s start at the heavy end, Class 70 down. 70808 and 70817 in the latest Colas iteration. Both reworked, drivers painted, chassis pickups painted out, detailed at one end and weathered as per prototype pics. 70817 has Legomanbiffo sounds on a V4 decoder. 808 is just DCC fitted. Both are very smooth runner and I intend on keeping both. Couple of pictures below:

RMweb Gold Andy7 Posted January 24, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 24, 2022 Down to the class 69 and 68’s. So 69002 is a labour of love. Basically a Hornby 56 that has been heavily modified using the roof centre from a Bachmann class 66, buffers from a Hattons 66 and roof fans from a Dapol 68. Tons of tweaked bits on the noses and fuel tanks/battery boxes are bespoke. It is fitted with wire loop couplings at both ends and is DCC fitted, the lights work as per Hornby 56. It is unweathered but the silencer is rusty like when it first appeared with the loco painted. Class 68’s I have 6, I think. 2x DRS compass (68008 DCC Fitted and 68032 The Poppy, Legomanbiffo Loksound V4 sound fitted , nearly completed renumbering and weathering), 1x DRS basic (68027, driver fitted, Legomanbiffo Loksound V4 sound fitted, a repaint by and weather by me), 2x TPE (still in boxes 19 and 28?) and 1x Chiltern livery 68010, weathered and detailed, driver fitted, maybe one day the coaches will be available, I have had the appropriate DVT for years). Next instalment shortly. 5
RMweb Gold Andy7 Posted January 25, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 25, 2022 Seems I failed to add the class 69 pics to the above post, Ooops. While we are here I will add the single class 67 I have, 67004 in DB livery. A repaint by me as the Hornby release wasn’t exactly what I wanted and was expensive at the time. It was sound fitted but sold the chip and it’s now just DCC fitted. Driver added and wire loop couplings added both ends to deal with the poor Hornby cam setup. Weathered and wheel faces have been polished post weathering which adds a lot to the look. 7
