jimbo
Hi All, I need to print some number plates for some 1/43 vehicles as I doubt if I'll be able to paint them by hand. Anyone have any ideas how to do this? Thanks JIm.
RMweb Gold markjj Posted September 30, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 30, 2015 Try drawing them up in word then printing them onto waterside decal paper which you can buy on places like ebay. If you are not able to use a computer or have access to a printer these might help http://www.amazon.co.uk/43-Number-Plates-Decal-Sheet/dp/B00L5QYHRA#immersive-view_1443598005958 I'm sure there are other ready made plates available on the Web to... Simond
GIYF http://www.dafont.com/uk-number-plate.font?text=google+is+your+friend I presume this downloads and installs in Word - haven't tried it yet. There are other sites that provide Word-compatible downloads. I don't know whether this is representative of eg early 30's but it is certainly typical of more recent times. Remember plates were white on black until the mid 60's, This site deals with modern plates, but if you scroll down, it gives sizes for pre-1973 http://www.newreg.co.uk/services/dvla_number_plates/acrylic_plate_rules and whether or not you fancy an argument with a faceless bureaucrat, someof the information in this request is relevant... https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/registration_plate_font this site is hugely useful, giving era and code letters for everything from 1903 onwards. http://www.cvpg.co.uk/REG.pdf best Simon
