The end for another model shop?

It would appear that Mirfield models has closed for business. To many it would not make much difference as it only opened for 2 days a week but it was one of those little shops which you could find some little gems and second hand bargains in.

Its now getting harder to find local model shops in the Yorkshire area, with more shops closing its suprising that any new modellers are joining the hobby. At one time the sight of a model railway in a shop window had kids, young and old spending hours and pounds but now the internet is taking over.

I'd love to have the money and business knowledge to open a model centre run by modellers for modellers but sadly I dont so ill just have to keep visiting the surviving ones.
