clifford1981
so with little followers and support, I have put Wrexham central to bed for the time being. however I came upon an oval table top in shed and some oval track then acquired expanding foam! before I knew it a layout had started! I was bought up on the Cambrian coast and live in shrewsbury so have many Cambrian coast train photos! so it would be rude not to build a layout based on it! this will be modern image and likely during the transition phase of testing ertms as I can run array of things! Nearholmer
I used expanding foam on a previous layout, and found that it carved very well with a bread-knife. When I'd got the basic shape, I plastered it with a layer of polyfilla, mixed to a quite thin consistency. If you try this, it might be worth putting a tiny bit of powder-paint into the polyfilla, to get the rock colour. One sincere hope: that it isn't actually on the track, because if it is, you will find it a real pig (not sheep) to get off. It is exceedingly gluey! Good luck with it.
