Taigatrommel
Hi all, I'm looking for information about the VTG bogie gas tanks, as used on traffic from Widnes Foundry Lane most recently in the UK (and still in traffic as recently as 2013 on the continent). Any dimensions, suggestions of sources for information and pictures would be very welcome. So far all I really know is that they were 17.66m over headstocks! To be totally clear, this is the type: https://www.flickr.com/photos/ews60002/6896667123/in/photolist-dzMoQW-d8Ca4Y-bvrdRR-a9JnM1/ Thanks!
jonhall
The International wagon diagram on the Barrowmore MRG's website has a few more dimensions, although the drawing itself can't be scaled from. The bodies are pretty standard 1.8m y25's, there seem to be two batches. Jon
Taigatrommel
They were later refitted with Y25s, as built they were on LHB bogies. There's a third batch, diag. E.679. Thanks for the pointer to BMRG, that's a useful start. It has most crucial dimensions, it's really just the sun shield length and length of the tank barrel between the domed ends that lacks.
