Ross60103 Posted October 30, 2015 Share Posted October 30, 2015 Good morning all, I am trying to track down a photographer by the name of A R Butcher, specifically to obtain a copy or a "permission" in regard to a photo taken in Hawick of a northbound express. Butcher is named as a photographer in at least one Bradford Barton publication .One of the Southern Steam series I believe the last BB book was published in the mid 1980's but this might give you a lead? Bill Jamieson Posted December 10, 2015 Share Posted December 10, 2015 He seems to have authored at least one book for Ian Allan Ltd so the best I can suggest is that you write a letter to A R Butcher, put it in a blank stamped envelope and send that to Ian Allan Ltd at their Shepperton address, with a covering letter explaining why you want to contact him and asking them to forward it to the last known address they have for him. A bit of a long shot no doubt.
