birdseyecircus
Several years ago I made a small depot layout called 'Four Feet Lane', see my signature below for the link. Late 2014 I decided to re-build a similar layout after having withdrawal symptoms! Using a scrap piece of 4x1 plywood I built a small DCC layout, complete with basic scenics. Due to work around the house the layout was side lined until a week ago when I dug it out and had another look at it. My hasty build had miscalculated the space to allow the miniature crew to leave the loco against the rear back scene so a thin strip of ply was added. I also rewired the Electrics due to a couple of soldering issues. There is no fiddle yard as such. locos just run behind the depot building. As I write this I have just finished cleaning the excess grease from my Bachmann class 40 after they were produced! It has certainly improved it's running. All done with ELO belting out the speakers! Smashing!
birdseyecircus
A while a go I bought a low relief Resin factory from SkyTrex I think. I had an enjoyable time painting it. So... having a spare couple of hours this afternoon before going out I made another low relief factory. Some foam board was measured and cut. Plasticard brick was glued to the lower half with PVA The top half was fitted with some corrugated plasticard. I fitted some roof sections and some end boarding. Finally a spray with some grey primer then wiping off the excess from the brick. A little too much grey so I will correct it later in the week. I am pleased with how it turned out. Just some drain pipes to add and maybe signage. Paul
birdseyecircus
I had a go at adjusting the colour on the factory side by using some coloured pencils. Never done this method before and I thought I would try it after seeing it on a BRM video a few issues back. I sill have the drainpipes etc to add. Also new is a laser cut terraced house rear low relief kit from ebay produced by 'In the Green Wood' The sides are a little on the thick side but painting it is very therapeutic! Finally more ebay purchases. This time some yard lights. Thanks for Looking. Paul
Sun VI
I like your use of the two 3-way points, a very neat way of keeping to a compact space. It's looking good!
