Leave the roll in its box, cut a small slot, sellotape the opening covers of the box.

Feed out the foam roll,from the bottom of the box, in a more manageable style.

When you reach the curve sections,take a craft knife and cut into the centre line of the foam.

This also helps,in managing the foam laying.

You can use copydex,a thin layer,rather than pins, which will transmit sound.

Copydex or pva,may,crinkle you traxmat, so I am using / testing 3M photo mount spray,but,it is expensive.
