Swissrail
Does anyone know if Roco have changed the way they construct their single arm pantographs? I have a large collection of Roco and all of my Re4/4s and Re6/6s have fine pantographs made very nicely from wire. I was looking through various sites last night after I took a fancy to having a couple of the new green Re4/4s they've got out and I noticed the pantographs look heavier and less well made...as if they are now made from castings or even, God forbid, plastic! Can anyone shed some light please?
Swissrail
I don't believe Roco makes their own pans, IIRC they obtain these from Sommerfeldt. I'm aware Piko makes their own pans and these certainly are partly in plastic. I agree it looks awful I'm afraid that's not correct. If Roco don't make their own pantographs, then it's not Sommerfeldt either. I have both makes of the same type and they are quite different.
