RAF96
Hornby's computer control application Railmaster works fine as a basic on screen loco and points/signals controller so far, but has anyone out there an insider opinion of the yet to be launched (2 years in the waiting) loco detection system, which was held from launch by a Eureka moment (Hornby quote at a show), which apparently led to a complete rethink at 23:59 before launch. Unfortunately no one will now admit to what this rethink was or what was actually stopped or newly started in the development program so we are left in the dark, unless there is someone out there who knows and is willing/able to say more. - out loud or by whisper. Rocrail and JMRI have long ago sorted out the art of loco detection, blocks, automatic train routing and complex operations using every sensor known to man, so I wonder why Hornby (actually Hornby's sub-contracted Railmaster folk) is struggling to follow suite in a timely manner. Answers on a postcard here please or to me by PM if you are shy at telling / unable to say in public...
