Bath Junction

Recommended Posts

There is now a new page on www.railwest.org.uk about the signalling at Bath Junction. This is still under construction, as I am awaiting (with fingers crossed) some further material (a decent diagram of Bath SL Jcn for a start!), but hopefully some of you will find it of interest in the meantime.

Rather like Wimborne Jcn, the situation is complicated by the involvement of two different companies (MR/LMS and S&DJR), so I set out to concentrate on the S&DJR element and in particular Bath Single Line Junction box (about which almost as little is known as Wimborne Loop). It seemed pertinent to cover the other S&DJR signalling installations within the Bath suburbs at the same time. It was necessary to include some background information about the Midland line as well, in order to set the context, but the primary target is to cover the S&DJR installations, so do not expect to learn much about the LMS :-)

Any comments/correction/additional material always welcome!
