MiDAS
Can anyone confirm my memory of the first 37's on GE metals being in overall green Including roof. The so called heritage livery with grey roof panels does not sit well with me. Colour photo's of D6700 and her sisters in 60/61 do not seem to be abundant. SRman
The standard livery when in service included a grey roof. I can't vouch for the very first deliveries having green roofs, although it is a possibility. Certainly they wouldn't have been green for long - as I said, the grey was standard for the class. MiDAS
I have a colour photo of a much later class member with grey roof which stops short of cab roof, it goes no further than the fan housing at one end and leaves a similar area at no 2 end. I do remember the first type 4's having a grey roof yet I still have a nagging doubt for D6700 and 6703 which I wish to model as they first appeared. Terry Added 6th March I have now resolved this question to my own satisfaction.
