Yes it got a bit political but if you want the views of railwaymen on here you will have to realise we are passionate about industry! It's why railways exist. By nature a lot of dyed in the wool railwaymen are socialist or lean towards it. If you want the history of the railway as trainspotters see it ( no offence I was one once) then ban us all . But as was said above real railways were built to support industry and when the doodoo hits the fan in industry we won't sit back and discuss the markings on wagons. Anyone who thinks we should sit back and lose the steel industry so soon after the coal industry is no railway enthusiast. This forum benefits from a wealth of knowledge and information by current and retired railwaymen and people in the steel industry so I'm afraid the no politics rule is been taken too far!
