Quartering tolerances

Just a reminder that it's best to keep an individual overseas order under £15 if possible. Above that there's a risk it might get caught for VAT and Royal Mail's legalised theft of a "handling fee"

With free postage, you can still get plenty of motors for fifteen quid.

We do seem to have rather a heyday for small motors at the moment which leaves me thinking how long it will last.

I also came across these can motors, 19mm by 15mm by 12mm with a 1.5mm shaft

which I have in mind for repowering some early Farish diesel mechs, brass geared thankfully.

These seem to be the same motors - same product code anyway M15N - 3 series, as available in the UK @ £7 each.

There is an info sheet here :- http://www.mitsumi.co.jp/latest/Catalog/indextab/motorav_e.html

It's the fourth motor down, rated at 8v, 6-28v range, and I can only conclude that the 13.500 rpm quoted is at 12v.

The two examples I have, obtained at the £7 price last year, are very nicely made, and compared to other UK motor prices seem well worth it.  Just 3-pole they run well compared to many smaller ones fitted into OO RTR locos.

If these now on ebay are indeed the same production spec/quality then they would seem well worth obtaining should you need some - and especially at the price!
