Can the presentation of computer code be improved?

I hope I am posting this in the right place.
 
If you look (briefly) at this Post (Reply #106) you will see that the computer code takes an enormous number of lines.

 

On the other hand if you look at this Post on the Arduino Forum (Reply #1) you will see that the code window is short and can be scrolled to see the rest of the content.

 

IMHO the approach used on the Arduino Forum would make this Forum much easier to read.

 

Please note that the Arduino Forum is far from perfect in other respects.

For the number of instances where the code tags are used and for any lengthy post it's not really worth the time it would take to establish a workaround. It's more relevant to a coding forum than it is for one primarily about railway modelling.

If the Invision software is used on a coding forum anywhere, then it might be that a modification already exists for such a scrolling code box. However, I'm not aware of such a forum myself.

Given the enormous number of lines on RMweb taken up far less productively, that's not necessarily a bad thing.
