RMweb Premium wirey33 Posted June 17, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 17, 2016 I am considering buying one of the Bachmann Jubilee wooden box sets with Jubilee Class 45552 and Class 47 47164 and splitting the contents. Being a diesel modeller, I don’t want or need the steam loco but I have no idea about the value of it when I sell it on. I’ve tried eBay but it doesn’t help as recent sales have been for complete sets. Can anyone suggest a reasonable price for a brand new Jubilee and wooden box? Even better, does anyone want a Jubilee and presentation box?
RMweb Premium JDW Posted June 17, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 17, 2016 Nope, the steamer is useless to me too, I'll take the 47 if you like though...
Butler Henderson
Kernow are selling the Jubliee for £99.99 http://www.kernowmodelrailcentre.com/p/55127/25-2014S-Bachmann-Jubilee-Steam-Locomotive-45552-BR-Green
knitpick
As it's technically second hand and given Kernow's pricing, I would suggest that the best you'd get from a private sale is around £75. With a bit of luck, you might be able to push an extra £5 for the wooden box. But then I guess the Kernow example will be (cardboard) boxed anyway.
