Splitting a Bachmann Silver Jubilee Set

Recommended Posts

I am considering buying one of the Bachmann Jubilee wooden box sets with Jubilee Class 45552 and Class 47 47164 and splitting the contents.

Being a diesel modeller, I don’t want or need the steam loco but I have no idea about the value of it when I sell it on.

I’ve tried eBay but it doesn’t help as recent sales have been for complete sets.

Can anyone suggest a reasonable price for a brand new Jubilee and wooden box?

Even better, does anyone want a Jubilee and presentation box?

As it's technically second hand and given Kernow's pricing, I would suggest that the best you'd get from a private sale is around £75.  With a bit of luck, you might be able to push an extra £5 for the wooden box.  But then I guess the Kernow example will be (cardboard) boxed anyway.
