tamperman36
With ever increasing cost of living I appreciate that the cost of modelling will also have to increase, however the cost increases that have been occuring in the last few years are getting silly. With certain retailers now creating limited edition and exclusives at prices for OO RTR stock which are now higher than the cost of some O gauge loco kits is it not beginning to get silly. Not everybody has an unlimited budget, we want to encourage new starters to the hobby yet all they get when you walk into a model shop these days is Hornby railroad (limited detail ideal for a start) or full price £150+ locos and full fat rolling stock at £30+ for 4 wheeler wagons. Its turning into an elite hobby where those of us on low incomes and growing families are feeling sidelined.
