RMweb Gold kopite Posted July 28, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 28, 2016 Hi everyone, I'm just getting into the hobby and have just joined the forum. I recently bought a Hornby Flying Scotsman set that was made in 1999. It was in excellent condition and had not been used for many years, it runs but not great, so the loco and tender need to be serviced. The motor is in the tender, but try as I might, I have not been able to remove the body to get to the motor. Is there some sort of trick to removing it? I've looked at some videos on youtube and it seems like they just clip off from the side but I tried that and couldn't get the body off. I don't want to force it and damage it. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
RMweb Gold kopite Posted July 28, 2016 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted July 28, 2016 UPDATE: Got the information I needed from the Hornby website. I need to remove the 2 small screws on the underside of the tender and the body will come off. Cheers
