Chubber
Can anyone suggest something I'm likely to have to hand in darkest SW France to make some slow setting [45 sec cure] superglue a little gap-filling? The wooden inner [comb] has cracked clean across second-third hole, probably because it has dried out too much from climate and lack of use, there is a 0.5mm between them. Makes the top end of melodies even more discordant than normal! It's not very valuable, but has a lot of sentimental worth, Doug
brigo
If you have a piece of sandpaper or nail file make some sawdust from a piece of wood, add some superglue, mix and apply with a pin or similar. Instead of sawdust you could perhaps use a powder such as talc or maybe flour. Brian
Chubber
Success! Many thanks, Brian. I am now able to torture the dog again. I had a practice mix-up, talc went off very quickly, but sawdust did the job perfectly. Doug
