ColinW
Unfortunately Lindon Road has had to withdraw from the exhibition, but we have managed to replace it with Knuddelstein Station, which is a N gauge layout. Colin
jonathan452
As I mentioned earlier, there are some engineering works between Chislehurst and Sevenoaks this Saturday. The trains are running from London Charing Cross, Waterloo East and London Bridge, but with the diversion may add about 10 minutes to train journeys from London. Colin Via the Bat and Ball? ColinW
Can I remind people who are coming to the show, that as well as the main sports hall, we are using the Medway Hall, Jubilee Room and upstairs in the Riverside Suite for exhibits. The public catering is also in the Riverside Suite. There will be signs and plenty of stewards available to advise you about this. Colin

I shall be in the Riverside suite, with part of Beaminster Junction, the club's new OO gauge layout. Believe we will be doing some ballasting. ColinW
The show is finally over, it has been a very busy but successful show, anyone who saw the queue this morning will agree (it wasn't cleared until after midday!). The club would like to thank the layout owners & operators, traders and demonstrators for helping to make the show successful, and we hope they have a safe journey home. If anyone has photos of the show then please put them on here, thanks. Colin
RMweb Gold bcnPete Posted February 19, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 19, 2017 Many thanks for having us at the show - it was a little cosy in that room especially at the peak when lots of people grid locked it at times but as mentioned above a lot of interesting and diverse layouts and trade in one show. Thanks for the hospitality from all the Exhibition team - we were packed and on the road 30 minutes after closure and by 7pm I had a comforting glass of Argentinian Malbec in hand to reflect on the day
jetmorgan
Just some photos of the layouts at the show, Aldermouth, Blackgang, Harlyn Pier and Modbury Torr. Nice to see Harlyn Pier again...first saw it at the Uckfield show and it drew a large crowd and it was difficult getting near to take pics. I did like Modbury Torr although when I arrived there they had a complete electrical failure...hope they got that working again. Theobald's yard also seemed to be drawing a big crowd so it was difficult to get near that.
George Woodcock
Hello On behalf of John and myself I would like to say thanks to everyone at Tonbridge MRC for inviting us to their show and looking after us so well. Good to see so many people visiting, so much for model railway exhibitions dying out. It was a fitting way to end the exhibition life of Bedlam Heath which is now safely ensconced in it's new home in Bromley. Once again many thanks. Cheers George
shanks522
A few pictures i managed to take, there where so many excellent layouts but also a lot of people which made taking good pictures quite hard. Here's a few of my favourites. Arigna Town, a beautifully modelled piece of Ireland. Kunze Brücke, A single track slice of Germany that i really enjoyed watching the trains go by. Ze Germans are coming! Hinksey yard, very glad to have seen this in the flesh. Modbury Torr, I really do like 3mm layouts. Another 3mm layout Daconby Town. Part 2 to follow. Graham. shanks522
Part 2! Tanners Hill, a real favourite of mine, and also inspiration for my latest N gauge Layout. Mers Les Bains, A fantastic French narrow gauge layout. Llangerisech, Wow just Wow, lovely 2mm Finescale terminus. Kyle of Lochalsh, Very nice to meet BCNPete and see this little gem in the flesh, very clever and very well modelled. Part 3 next.
shanks522
Part 3, Harlan Pier, Very atmospheric 0 gauge layout. And Lastly Gneiss Cider, a very clever layout that had an underground section running cider between the press and the pub! All in all a brilliant show, which i thoroughly enjoyed, well done Tonbridge MRC. Graham.
RMweb Premium Dave Searle Posted February 20, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 20, 2017 Hi, The Hinksey Yard team had a great day, despite an intermittent electrical issue in the fiddle yard. We were delighted to have the use of a young guest operator for the afternoon who picked things up very quickly and seemed to enjoy himself. Many thanks to the Tonbridge club for making us welcome and putting on a great show. Cheers,Dave
ColinW
Many thanks to Jetmorgan and Shanks522 for the photographs, and to everyone for the comments about the show. The show had nearly 1800 people paying to come in. We have finally finished putting the equipment away and having a couple of days rest before we return to think about next year's show, this will be on Saturday 17th February.
