DOCJACOB
Snapped this image 7/96 while passing through Barrow upon Humber. It was visible from corner Town Street and Barton Lane. Looks railway like except there were no nearby lines or stations and hence the question?

Bedders
It's similar in size and design to the Winterton signal box on the North Lindsey Light Railway but with smaller windows, so likely a railway building https://www.hpacde.org.uk/northlincsmuseumimagearchive/jpgh/s00176.jpg
David Bigcheeseplant
This is a simular box that was at Aylesbury, it was never a signal box there but came from somewhere else no idea where.
RMweb Premium t-b-g Posted October 29, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 29, 2016 https://www.railscot.co.uk/imageenlarge/imagecomplete.php?id=53203 Very similar to this, an ex MSLR box from nearby. The windows and bargeboards match. The extra thick timber around floor level that Barrow Road Crossing doesn't have probably means that this isn't the actual one but it is certainly this design. The bargeboards in particular narrow it down as they are not typical GCR pattern.
DOCJACOB
Discounted Barrow Road as have images around same time. North Lindsay is a good shout but quite a journey. Not New Holland Pier. Did Barton ever have a box?
Bedders
Did Barton ever have a box? Looking at the OS maps of 1908 & 1932, there was a signal box at the station throat, but I've never seem a picture of it. Not present in 1888 & 1968. Ludlams "Railways to New Holland..." mentions a ground frame in a sectional appendix, but no date and no pictures of the right area. https://www.old-maps.co.uk/#/Map/502973/422555/12/100670
