Mixing code 75 rail with code 83 or 70?

Hi all, 

 

Has anyone here mixed peco code 75 track with us code 83 or 70 track? 

 

I'm having problems building a particular track formation on my layout. The trackplan requires the use of a cut-down 60 degree diamond crossing, which is available in code 83 (Atlas, Shinohara) and code 70 (Shinohara). But am I asking for trouble trying to mix this with the peco track?

 

I'm try to build a "half scissors?" formation on a curve using a pair of short radius Y points, so the peco short crossing which I would normally use doesn't have the correct angle. I'm hoping to cut down both points and fit the diamond between them.

Part of my last layout during construction ( now sold), with a Shinohara code 83 double cross-over with Peco code 75 track.
