phoenixcronin
Hi all, This is my first post on this forum. I was wondering if anyone knows the correct way to disassemble a Corgi Gemini 2. Looking at the baseplate, there are no obvious screws or rivets, and unlike for instance Northcord models the chassis seems very tight and there is no give at all, so I don't think I can just pull the chassis out. Any help is appreciated
crompton 33
The only OOC DD models i've taken apart are the AEC regent and the Leyland PD2. On these there are 2 small holes where the poles sit in. you need to knock these out with a small hard nail or something like it. The upper and lower deck will then come apart. You will need to glue the two parts back with epoxy as you will not get the pins to fit back in.
birch1
Hi This is one of the many reasons to join the Model Bus Federation, there is a large bank on the MBF forum which shows how to take many diecasts apart. Anyway, taken from there: Carefully prize off the front lower panel, destination screen, and rear panel and it reveals little screws that hold the model together Hope that helps! RMweb Gold RThompson Posted January 5, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 5, 2017 Many years ago, I converted my Gemini 1 from a Arriva London VWL to a DW. The rear bumper was carefully levered off and the entire front was also too to release the chassis. Hope this helps.
