ianp
Who, if anyone, makes motorised chassis in HOm gauge (12mm), on to which I could put the superstructure of a model French autorail? Further inspection of the old Keyser kit I mentioned in my previous post leads me to think there may be some parts missing (such as metal wheels to pick up the electrical supply from the rails) and the simplest solution may be to buy a brand new motorised chassis - especially as I wish to run the model under DCC. Tomytec/Tomix, Kato and Greenmax chassis all appears to be in N gauge only. So, where should I look?
HSB
Try Motorbogies.com. Also Mount Tabor Models do some Continental TT.
RMweb Gold Joseph_Pestell Posted January 27, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 27, 2017 I am not quite sure why you want an HOm chassis. All the K's autorails were models of standard gauge AFAIK. A bit big to run on metre gauge. Halling do 12mm motor bogies.

But I also have an Atlas static model of a Billard 1937 metre-gauge autorail which I also wish to motorise - so the various suggestions are very helpful. Thank you. RMweb Gold Joseph_Pestell Posted January 27, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 27, 2017 The Billard is an interesting one. The motorised bogie is much larger than the carrying bogie. So you won't be able to use a TT loco chassis.
RMweb Premium Andy Hayter Posted January 27, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 27, 2017 You could try looking out for something from Interfer or Mougel on ebay.fr - nothing there currently. Both have produced kits for H0m railcars - including the Billard ones.

rue_d_etropal
some French modellers have managed to extend axles on the Kato/Tomytec chassis, but as mentioned the K's models were standard gauge not metre gauge.
Gordonwis
Various 12mm motor bogies available from 3SMR. I have a Bull Ant from them ready to motorise the Atlas Verney autorail
