Dtwo
Hi All, My sister and I are helping our mother sell our Dad's 7mm collection of kits, bits and everything else. My sister has been listing some kits on the bay of e. Among them have been some abs and 43 to one models' kits. One buyer has asked why he's got drawing pins instead of buffers. Am I right in thinking that these kits were only supplied with drawing pins for buffers? I've tried searching on RM Web, but all I can find is some mentions of "losing" the buffers although it doesn't say why. As a 2mm scale modeller I'm not too au fait with 7mm kit contents. Thanks in advance for any help. Regards David
101
Yes the main drawback of ABS kits is the drawing pins for buffer heads. You do need to source either new buffers or just buffer heads but the white metal castings are - in my experience at least - always very good and far better than some others.
