Did anyone notice any cowpats left on the cattle dock after these wagons had been loaded?

I believe the harbour master was out with a shovel and bucket as soon as the last cow was loaded. Just the ticket he reckoned for his roses. I hope he composts them first though, overwise Mrs Harbour master might be having a few words with him

That’s the best photograph yet of the viaduct itself.  I’m looking forward to the naming ceremony when the plaque will be unveiled by a local dignitary. Will the GWR local general manager turn up?  No doubt it will feature in the Encombe gazette.

I believe they were down to 300 by the time they reached Thermopylae

I wonder if @KNP will whip up a set of those funny little curtains that they use to obscure the plaque until the appropriate moment. And maybe a model bottle of champagne to be busting over the stonework.

Very fortuitous post for me Kevin as I dug out an Etched Pixels (sadly now no more) milk brake kit on Wednesday so that’s saved me time hunting out finishing details.
