Michanglais
With the renewed interest in electric locos (albeit mainly West Coast), I'd be interested to hear people's opinions on whether it's time for a re-tooled class 91, Mk4 coaches and Mk4 DVT. Whilst the sets are confined to the ECML (for the time being), they have run in several different liveries now and it might be interesting to see how Hornby (or another manufacturer - Rapido comes to mind) could market the product. I'm thinking along the lines of loco+DVT (plus possibly one or two coaches) as a pack, with extra coaches to allow people to build up a rake of the length of their choice. Any thoughts on the matter? Maybe it's time to send email requests to Hornby, Bachmann or Rapido if there's enough interest?. As mentioned Rapido might be interesting as they have a history of making models of 'one off' trains such as the APT-E and the Turbo trains that ran in North America. What do people think - pie in the sky or future project?
