Correct way to do baseboard track joins - n gauge

Recommended Posts

Doing code 55 n gauge peco track behind the scenes on my new layout, can anyone advise what the correct, robust and reliable mechanism for ensuring alignment and electrical connectivity across the baseboard joins. Boards themselves are fitted with alignment dowels.

Layout is a home layout so not for exhibition but splits into two sections with a number of tracks in the fiddleyard going across the joint.
