jazz
Hi. Could anyone enlighten me regarding Pannier Tank 6403. Did it have a top feed circa 1950 please.
David Bigcheeseplant
It didn't on the 17th August 1958 but did in the early 1960s when it was lined green but had one black tank. David
Miss Prism
6406 did in 1950, if that's any help. (Which it probably isn't...)
jazz
Hi. Thanks for the quick replies. And many thanks for the two photos. So In 1950 (the period +/- I'm modelling, it seems to have had a top feed. Then it didn't, then it did. Mind boggling I think. Thanks again. David Bigcheeseplant
Another photo of 6403 without top feed but if you look at the shaddow at the rear of the tank you can see a bend where the handrail would go round the feed pipe, so my guess it was fitted with a top feed before.
