swsjames
I am about to add crew to my new L&B 2-6-2T, but don't know which side the driver stood. Left or right? I am modelling 1906 practice. Published photos don't really help! Can anyone advise?

John_Hughes
Not relevant to the wonderful L&B, but once the Great Western had got their hands on the Welshpool & Llanfair line, they changed the regulators to their standard right-hand driving position, but left the reversing levers on the LHS, so that even today the drivers are for ever asking the fireman to 'peg it up or down' as appropriate. Moral - the reversing lever doesn't always indicate the driving position!
Beatty 139
That's interesting as most pregrouping companies and industrial locos are RHD I wonder why the W&L were on the left. Edited July 18, 2017 by Beatty
