I've heard that sadly Railmatch are no longer producing airbrush cleaner aerosol cans.

I'm always happy to learn from others. So please may I ask what airbrush cleaners would you recommend?

And especially if you know of similar aresol versions.

Thank you!

Hi

I use Badger airbrushes (mostly metal parts and nylon seals) and an Aztec airbrush (mostly nylon with a few metal parts.)

I use a 50/50 mix of these , purchased from ebay, and are a lot cheaper than the rattle can versions.

If you use enamel paints then xylene is an excellent quick drying thinner......

Always best to get into the habit of stripping down and cleaning the airbrush after EVERY session of use no matter how short, far easier to remove fresh paint than fully dried hardened paint. The metal head parts can be steeped in cellouse thinners, small dental brushes (the type for flossing between your teeth) are also very useful, available in different sizes - choose one that suits the nozzle size - these are an example - avail in Boots/Tesco etc

Depends what type of paint you're using. For enamels I find turps works fine, for acrylics I use a homebrew of distilled water and isopropyl alcohol with a drop of glycerine. Can't remember the ratios, might be 50/50 but there's plenty of recipes out there on 'tinterweb.
