sb67
Had a great day on Saturday at this show. It's not a strictly model railway show but it's well worth a visit as there's always a good selection of layouts and it's good to see other bits of model making. Thought I'd post some pics of some layouts. St Marnock Engine Shed Caradon Junction East Park Depot Ebsworth St Acacia Avenue
railroadbill
I went there on Sunday afternoon. Agree it's a very good show, everyone is very friendly there and happy to explain details and techniques. I really liked this N gauge german layout, Kayreuth. Ran perfectly, very good overhead wiring, loco pantagraphs rose and fell as the trains moved. Details set the location well. There are some youtube vids on this layout, worth finding if you like n gauge.
railroadbill
Something different was this large Minic Motorways layout, with Triang Midland Pullman as well. And the working car transporter loading bay! Never seen one actually working before.... There was also a Hornby O gauge clockwork layout, with working Bowman steam locos as well. Lots of narrow gauge so a good variety.
railroadbill
Glad you posted a pic of Acacia Avenue, sb67, interesting layout that made a lot of a small space. Had a good cassette fiddle yard, and lit from above by a string of led Christmas lights set into the "roof" above the layout. Worked very well.

You're welcome Railroadbill, it is one of my favourite layouts, been following it on here since it was built and see it for the first time at the Romford show on the 11th November. railroadbill
Thanks, mudmagnet. It's a very nice layout in many ways, captures the period with all the details, I think. Interesting fiddle yard arrangement. Lots of good ideas there, so glad to read your thread. It was obviously well looked after...
