Kyle of Lochalsh Signal Box

Widnes Model Centre

About four years ago we were asked to provide materials to Liverpool Museum. The modellers there were building a layout that was to be housed in the Kyle of Lochalsh Signal Box.

Although we were invited to see the layout when it was completed in the museum workshops we never saw any photographs of the layout once it was installed. Unfortunately it was the modelmakers last project as they were made redundant on it's completion.

Does anyone have any photgraphs of the layout as it is exhibited today? Or any other details regarding the layout.

Many thanks in advance.

The signal box appears to have been converted to holiday accommodation on the ground floor, with the exhbition space on the upper floor. The notes say

The first floor of the building is used as a model railway exhibition centre, and is open to the general public from 10am to 5pm daily.  A maximum number of 5 people are allowed into the exhibition at any one time.  Guests at our accomodation are given a free ticket to the exhibition.
