Its that time of the year when you can find alternative sources for detailing rolling stock and tracksides. After all the presents and packaging and party food and drink, you can find plenty of card, acetate (for glazing), plastic bottle stoppers (spray painted red oxide make great industrial castings), the ribbons used to wrap presents can be cut up and used to make ratchet or tie down straps on wagon loads. If you think outside the box you will find all sorts of bits and pieces and best of all have fun.
