sharkman
With all these new class 47/7 locos coming from Bachmann the prominent jumper cables on the cab fronts are spoiled by the all orange jumper but their is an easy way to paint the black cable without ruining the yellow warning panel. Before After Get a piece of 10 thou plastic card, now it must be this thickness or it won't work and cut it to a strip 6.5m/m x 27m/m and slide under the cable as next photo. I then found a pair of tweezers was easier to then slide the left side under that cable as like in following image. The strip should then fit between the two handrails. I then used Satin black paint to carefully paint the cable but because of the backing you can be a bit more generous with the paint but not over because you could still spoil it. Now I leave this to you but I only left the plastic card behind for a few minutes as I did'nt want the paint to dry to the plastic card making it more difficult to remove it. Then when you have removed the card it should look like this After I had used this method I came up with an alternate but remember the card still needs to be about 6.5m/m with and 10thou. I hope you find this a usefull tip!
