wiggoforgold
Does anyone have any idea what the road side of these two sheds looked like? ie what shape was the door, were there any windows, was there an external loading platform? I've found lots of pics of the rail side and the ends, but nothing of the road side. Alex
PaulG
The GER Society publication Journal Special no4 GN&GE Joint Railway October 1982 has a drawing of Warboys goods shed detailing roof, walls, internals etc. Go the GERS website. Paul
pH
There is a picture of the Ramsey East goods shed in "Branch Lines to Ramsey" by John Rhodes, published by Oakwood Press. It's taken in 1984, after closure, still in use for storage for one of the units on the industrial estate built on the station site. Going by the location of the entrance for the entrance track visible in other pictures of the station while open, this picture shows the back of the shed clearly.
