Stay with Lenz or change?

I have been using Lenz since August 1995 upgraded as the yrs went by.

I am still using LZV100 V3.6 with LH100 & LH90 hand controls.

It is easy to use, bullet proof, reliable and does everything I want.

Including various sound dedoders.

Lenz may sometimes be slow in releasing new product but it always works when they do.

The Lenz system is not my cup of tea, but it can do everything a user needs a DCC controller to do* and there's a lot to be said for 'the devil you know'.

Perhaps you should ask yourself 'What benefit might there be in changing?' followed by 'How much will it cost to change? then 'Is any benefit identified in the first question worth that cost?  (to you).

Probably stick with what you have until someting dramatic happens to change the equation.

*as a matter of interest, what additional features do you feel you need?

Best regards,

Paul

It depends what system you want.

Lenz with the new upgrade system are still same like old.

Just some slightly difference but that´s all.

It is cheap system but still stone age system.

ESU with the ECoS are more advanced system and more playful.

Just like Märklin CS3 too.

But i prefer to use ESU because Märklins CS3 needs lot of upgrade the system with more software program to finish complete system.

ECoS 50210 are already full.

Does it need more upgrade???

I agree that Lenz are more easier to control digital functions and like to program.

You can quick start system at once by power on.

The only cons about Lenz new hand controller LH101 are non-lighted buttons while display shines.

Maybe Lenz will fix that later?
