Suitable renumbers for Bachmann 47834 “ firefly “

Hi folks,

Got one of these coming.

 

I’d like to renumber this and hopefully a second as suitable ones for the mid 90s. I’m no expert though on the various bufferbeams.

 

Can someone suggest suitable locos for the time, esp 1996 ?

How far do you want to go?

 

The possible permutations are endless if you are prepared to re-paint, remove ETH boxes etc.

 

But starting simple.....47/8's with a Clayton boiler and Crewe Cut buffer fairings...

 

805/6/7/8/9/14/18/34/40/42/43/45/48/51.

 

You will have to refer to photos to confirm if any of these carried the same livery as your 47834 and had the fairings removed in 1996.
