D9502
Hello I'm in the process of respraying several mk2's into the Arriva Trains Wales WAG Express livery. The decals come from John Peck at Precision Labels. There were two versions, the first circa 2009-2010 was with four horizontal turquoise strips along the coaches, then in 2010-onwards there's been a six-stripe version of the livery. I've searched flickr for mk2 coach photos but almost all depict the later livery, does anyone have side one shots of the mk2 carrying the earlier livery please? PaulWarb
Hi I agree - no photos around. Try typing arriva mk2 coach electra graphics into Google and do an image search - you should find two photos come up fairly quickly associated with a company called Electra Train Graphics - are they of any use? Theo C. Cupier
A quick trawl through some holiday snaps turns up these. Taken at Holyhead in 2013, so outside your timeframe, and probably not of any use. I'll keep looking for some earlier ones, as we have been going to Trearddur Bay over Easter for over 30 years. RMweb Gold Tim Hall Posted May 31, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 31, 2018 No stills, but some of my little films, including the first northbound service on15th Dec 2008, passing a mile from my house, as they still do! My next film is 16/03/10, and has the six stripe version, as does one on 30/03/10. I seem to have given up then.
D9502
Many thanks for the replies Gents, much appreciated. I resprayed an Airfx TSO and BSO into the early 4-stripe version of Arriva Trains Wales livery and whilst the weather so nice for airbrushing I did two GMR/Airfix BSO and TSO into Arriva Northern turquoise too. I'll imagine these have been sent south to the Arriva Wales pool to make a mixed rake.
