John M
Recent Facebook postings indicate that the Foyle Valley Railway Museum has re-opened https://www.facebook.com/FoyleValleyRailway/ with postings of recent visits from volunteers from Stradbally & the County Donegal Heritage centre Interesting photos of the interior including CDJR stock and what looks like a partially restored LLSR coach! Yeah. Unfortunately it was during summer 2017 and you had to pre book. Still, there’s always the future.
RMweb Gold Joseph_Pestell Posted August 6, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 6, 2018 I bought the South Eastern Finecast turntable kit for my GNRi layout as its only 10" and hand operated. Its a well-type turntable similar to Omagh and many other GNRi stations. http://www.sefinecast.co.uk/Turntables/Turntables.htm 10.25" is still pretty big. I wonder if Dave could be persuaded to do a smaller one.

David Jackson
You can see by the picture attached that the L&LSR turntables were just about the length of an engine and no more. I can’t find an official length for the table but the men beside it may help. Any ideas? Found an article on the L&LSR online which on P30 refers to not being able to turn the two 4-8-0 locomotives on L&LSR turntables without detaching the tenders, as the turntables were only 30 feet diameter. http://www.irrs.ie/eJournal/IRRSeJournal001.pdf

ddoherty958
I’ve found out the turntable is 30 ft long, anyone know of an 00 scale 30 ft turntable?
