Peco 0-16.5 trackwork to represent Light Railway P'way in 4mm

Recommended Posts

Evening all,

As per the topic header: Would it be feasible to utilise Peco's code 100 0-16.5 turnouts for representing light permanent way in 4mm? The only major factor I can think of is the possible radius issues. Although saying that, the 0-16.5 turnouts fall between the small and medium radius turnouts in Code 100 16.5mm trackwork. The stock would only really be 0-4-0 locomotives.

Any thoughts? B)

Quite possible, but as to scale appearance, ....then no way!! It would be portraying a hefty mailn line rail section in OO scale, in O gauge it is all right, even there the section is a touch on the heavy side.

Narrow gauge lines generally used very light section rail, about 40 to 50 code equivalent, not the code 100 of the Peco 016.5.

Stephen.
