In conjunction with Simon, I am working on a Freight roster for the Heaton Lodge layout project.

I have a 1983 WTT that I am using for a reference and have identified most trains but a few are eluding me.

Can anyone help with identifying what the following workings would have carried.

8M89  Healey Mills - Arpley Sidings

7M92 Scunthorpe - Ashburys

8M34 Healey Mills - Garston

8E77 Walton Junction - Healey Mills

8E07 Ardwick - Healey Mills

Healey Mills to Arpley; non-air-braked general freight, probably with a predominance of coal and steel wagons

Scunthorpe- Ashburys; as per above

Healey Mills- Garston; shipment coal, probably mainly in 21t hoppers.

Walton Jct- Healey Mills; empty coal and steel wagons, probably also some scrap, loaded in 16t minerals

Ardwick- Healey Mills ; as per the Walton working.

David Ratcliffe's 'Freight train formations' has some workings via Woodhead, which have similar points of origin.

Tinsley to Arpley (8M38)- mainly coal in conventional minerals, but also steel billets, malt and limestone.

Tinsley- Garston (8M10) - as above, but with caustic soda tanks from Grimsby to Widnes.

Manchester Dewsnap to Tinsley (8M38)- empty minerals, chemicals in tanks, Covhops of soda ash

I suspect the trains to and from Tinsley were the predecessors of the Healey Mills movements.

Thanks Mr Bangor Blue, however ''YE'' doesn't cover Heaton lodge.

The official route name is Hebden Bridge and Diggle to Leeds.

I have used the source you suggested for WTT's several times in the past.

Edit...Found it, it is  ''YG'' area.
