RMweb Premium Compound2632 Posted October 9, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 9, 2018 Feel free to rant some more. I always learn something when you do. I'd only be repeating myself which would become tedious both for you to read and me to write.
RMweb Premium Andy Hayter Posted October 9, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 9, 2018 (edited) The Dapol 4 wheel rectangular tank wago looks to be a reasonable representation of a 1907 RCH design. https://railsofsheffield.com/products/20339/Dapol-4f-032-001-oo-gauge-rimer-bros-rectangular-tank-wagon is one example Edited October 9, 2018 by Andy Hayter
Il Grifone
I was thinking of using a Dapol 9ft wheelbase chassis, just because that's what I have to hand. I also see that my link in the above post didn't work, so here it is again. Check the length over headstocks. The Trackmaster/Tri-ang wagons are only 16 foot long (scale) which compromised many later models in the range. The L & Y van had a left hand brake lever on one side, though presumably this was altered later and possibly the roof hatch removed? I believe this e length is correct for a Dia. 3, but it's a long time since I built mine, so I'm not 100% sure.
