Tallpaul69
Slough Goods shed was a large shed and I would guess from its size maybe the base for 40 or more vehicles. Were these mainly Scarabs with trailers, and light vans, or were there some larger vehicles? Suggestions of sources for relevant information would be welcome! Many thanks Paul

Many thanks Paul Probably the usual WR mixture (depending on period). Scarabs were basically used on town rounds because of their ability to get into and out of tight spaces and they would work with drop trailers. Country rounds - Slough had a number, but depending on period - normally used rigid wheelbase vehicles for smalls traffic. Don't forget the number of trailers (van trailers for goods smalls through the shed) always exceeded the number of tractor units so there would be what were know as 'stand trailers' there for loading awaiting return of a tractor unit.
