muddys-blues
Hello, I am after an answer to question regarding the 1970's Cambrian Coast double headed passenger services, when the trains had 2 rats double heading say 10 coaches or so, what was the procedure at unloading and running round the train at Pwllheli Station ? It may sound like a daft question, but the station head shunts could only fit one loco at at time, so did the front coaches that could fit on the platforms get drawn in by the locos, then everyone got off and the coaching stock shunted back into the siding loop & the locos then ran round the stock, and they shunted them back into the station for the return journey ? I am hoping somebody who travelled on them can answer my question. Thanks in advance Craig. Edited November 4, 2018 by muddys-blues
